Though we like to keep up with the restaurant scene year round, DineLA is the best time for those of us with limited budgets to try all those hot, new places that we've just been dyiiinngg to go to (without completely breaking the bank). From January 19th-February 1st, participating restaurants are offering up tasting menus of their best and most popular dishes for a set (and arguably, more reasonable) price. Since there are soo mannyy options to choose from (seriously, picking which places to go to is the most difficult part), we've narrowed it down the 5 places we can't wait to try.
1. Alimento, Silverlake
From Chef Zach Pollack, Alimento is Silverlake's hot new Italian eatery. For $30 a pop (yes, only $30), you'll get to try a selection of dishes featuring carefully sourced local ingredients inspired by Italian tradition. Make your reservations here!
2. Faith & Flower, Downtown
Indulge in modern California cuisine, with touches of Asian, Latin American, and North African influences, at this eclectic spot Downtown. For $50, enjoy a 3-course meal that includes a selection of favorite dishes. Some highlights are the poached farm egg, housemade cavatelli, and ginger braised shortrib. Check it out!
3. Night + Market WeHo
Recently featured on The Taste (that Thai restaurant that one of the mentors took his team to...yeah, we watch it), Night + Market is a modern Thai restaurant with locations in Silverlake and West Hollywood. Though the menu has yet to be revealed, the $40 price tag seems more than reasonable for this high-caliber Thai food. For reservations and more, click here.
4. Cardamom on Beverly
After spending time abroad in London, it's become apparent how few upscale Indian joints there are in LA. Cardamom, a new restaurant on Beverly, fills a gaping hole in this city's dining scene. Serving authentic yet contemporary Indian cuisine, choose 3 courses for only $30 during DineLA. See more.
5. Butchers & Barbers, Hollywood
A new classic American bistro in Hollywood, Butchers & Barbers is quickly becoming the go-to place for upscale comfort food. A focus on seasonal ingredients and generous sharing portions makes this a place we cannot wait to try. Though they haven't released the $40 tasting menu yet, w're hoping it includes the Farro Risotto! For more information, click here.
