Since the weather still can't decide what the f*** it's doing (I feel like these past few weeks have been chilly and boiling hot at the same time...), getting dressed always seems like an opportunity to tempt the fates. If I bring a jacket with me, the sun is bound to come out (with a vengeance, usually), leaving me sweaty and miserable. And those days when it looks sunny and beautiful tend to turn overcast and end in chilly winds. Though I usually try not to let the weather dictate my fashion, it inevitably has some impact. Especially when trends are dictated by seasons, how do we know when to move onto the next? When the weather indicates the shift, or when the fashion world does? Either way, transitional dressing is never easy. So I'm going for Spring on top, Winter on bottom, and Summer shoes. Sure, it's a bit confusing, but we live in confusing times. And though I'm mixing seasons like I don't give a f***, I'm keeping my choices minimal and streamlined, so hopefully I don't look as confused as I feel. Sticking with my current love of anything off-the-shoulder (though I'll admit, not sure how much more I can take of wearing strapless bras), I love this crisp white Aritzia top with the arm ties. Layered over basic gray jeans (a great transitional color), it suddenly becomes that much more summer-y when paired with ultra minimal white slide sandals. This great tan clutch makes the look not only seasonally transitional, but gives it a day to night feel. Also, thanks to By Toni for the wonderful, custom "The Editorialist LA" stamp!
