You know how when we were kids, we liked to pick our favorite everything? Our favorite color, our favorite food, our favorite member of N*SYNC (it was obviously JT)? These days, playing favorites seems less important; why do I need to pick my one favorite restaurant in LA when I have about 10? Can't I just like them all? But at the time, picking your favorite Spice Girl seemed like the ultimate way to define and identify yourself. I wonder if it's because I was young and naive at the time (or because I was a baby), but growing up, I always picked Baby Spice. These days, however, my wardrobe is more of an amalgam; I have workout wear that Sporty would be proud of, LBDs à la Victoria Beckham, and enough leopard print to cover Scary Spice from head-to-toe. Today, I'm feeling a bit of a combo, pairing a sportive bomber jacket with some wild(ish) distressed denim and posh accessories. Now that's Girl Power!
