Despite what you learned from Entourage and Clueless, the valley isn't quite the desert-like blackhole of death that it seems. In fact, there are some great restaurants, shops, and things to do! Who knew? Well...we did. And we're providing you with all the best insider-valley-knowledge, so that unlike Johnny Drama, you'll never have to pack a cooler to escape the valley heat.
A great place to escape to during an outing in the valley is Pedaler's Fork in Calabasas. Part bike-shop, part-restaurant, Pedaler's Fork is an airy, beautiful space serving up delicious, healthy food...while also giving your bike a tune-up? Catering to cyclists and bike enthusiasts, this unique restaurant also has a bike shop, bike-up bar, and coffee/pastry/juice shop, along with the restaurant.
We prefer frequenting this spot for brunch, where we can order an assortment of coffees, breakfast cocktails, chilaquiles, blueberry banana quinoa johnny cakes, and more. The food is always fantastic, and here are a few of our favorites:
The chilaquiles are fantastic! Crispy chips, runny eggs on top, a side of guac. Does it get any better?
The eggs benedict are another solid, delicious choice. The eggs are poached perfectly, and the hollandaise is light and flavorful.
