$20 bottles of Rosé? $8 burgers, sandwiches, and wings? FREE charcuterie? Surely this must be a mistake, or at least a scene out of a meat lover's culinary fever dream. Actually, it's the new happy hour menu at our Culver City favorite, The Cannibal, and it's easily one of the best in the city.
A true happy hour from 5:30-6:30 everyday, the menu is small and focused, also boasting $3 Stone IPA and $5 Old Fashioneds.
Easily one of the biggest draws of the menu is the complimentary charcuterie, served buffet style at the bar. As the restaurant specializes in fine, flavorful cuts of salumi and country ham, it's definitely a pleasure to indulge in this (free) snack alongside crispy yet fluffy bread, gourmet mustards, and an array of pickled veggies.
On the regular menu, a typical sandwich or burger will set you back $16-$20, which is why it's such a steal to indulge in one of their meaty creations for half the price. The burger is a satisfying mix of pork, lamb, and beef, served on a slightly toasty (but not chewy) english muffin. Pickled red onion and harissa aioli make it insanely addicting. Their daily butcher's sandwich was just as delectable.
And in case you're not satisfied quite yet, we definitely recommend getting the chicken wings. Sweet and spicy with chili, garlic, and a lime yogurt, they're perfectly crispy on the outside, but tender and juicy on the inside. The wings are addicting little bites, and the perfect sharing plate for you and your friends.
