The Great Legging Debate. It might be one of the most polarizing sartorial arguments of our age, along with "Are the 90's Really Back?", "Can A Regular Person Wear a Crop Top?", and "Why Do People Care What the Kardashians Wear?" Personally, I've gotten into way too many of these spats with my friends, and have generally made my thoughts on the subject known (though I do make some exceptions). Those exceptions usually apply to a. leather leggings b. pants that look like real pants but are as comfortable as leggings or c. when you're wearing workout pants with the intention of hitting the gym. It's not like I don't get the appeal-- when the temps drop, getting cozy in a pair of leggings is really tempting. To deal with this temptation, I often opt for my first exception-- some thick leggings with plenty of leather detail. And though I've never been into the dress-over-pants look, the long slit tank over leggings is a fresh and easy way to liven up your leggings. Of course, throw on some sexy over-the-knee boots, and your comfy leggings are actually acceptable for a night on the town!
