While we've enjoyed a few brief moments of cooler, Springtime weather, we're gearing up for some hot hot heat. It's no surprise that summer starts early in LA (and seems to last most of the year), so I'm already looking forward and getting my wardrobe ready. But in LA, it's not as easy as just buying a new pair of jean shorts or sandals; you've got to stock up on essentials for all corners of LA. Below, we've picked out the 3 ideal summer looks for 3 different neighborhoods.
1. West Hollywood
WeHo is known for being one of the trendiest areas of the city. Basically, any trip to Alfred Coffee is full of serious style inspo. For WeHo, we say to embrace this season's love of cropped, flared denim, the ultra cool choker, and totally on-trend white sneakers.
Silverlake is a great neighborhood for shopping cool contemporary brands and emerging designers alike. The silhouettes there tend to be looser, resulting in a style that's a unique bohemian-hipster-minimalist mix. We suggest staying casual with tan espadirlles, and investing in a minimal leather carryall.
3. Santa Monica
While we could totally get away with running around Santa Monica in our best workout gear, we say to opt for the beachy, California girl vibe. No one does beachy boho quite like this neighborhood, where labels like Tularosa and stores like Planet Blue reign supreme. Embrace it with a flirty printed dress, an ocean-town silk scarf, and cute, feminine sandals.
