Can you believe it? DineLA is already back! I feel like it was just yesterday that we were rounding up January's best DineLA deals, and enjoying the set menu at Fig & Olive. The best time of year for checking restaurants off our every-growing bucket list, DineLA works with the best restaurants in the city to put together set menus at steep discounts, saving our wallets considerable strain. And this year's line-up does not disappoint; from newcomers like Fritzi and Mama Shelter to returning favorites like Terrine and Belcampo, the opportunities are endless. To help you sort through the pages upon pages of can't-miss deals, we're rounding up the best deals for lunch and dinner.
1. Estrella: $20 for 3-course meal
Having just launched their new summer menu, there's never been a better time to enjoy Estrella's beautiful back patio and creative, small bites. The DineLA lunch menu is only $20, and for that you'll get a choice of an appetizer (like the Beef Carpaccio), entree (with options such as Asparagus and Lemon Ricotta Pasta or a Duck Breast Chopped Salad), and even a dessert!
2. Redbird: $25 for 3-course meal
A modern American concept from acclaimed Chef Neal Fraser, Redbird is offering a very sweet deal for DineLA patrons. The 3-course meal (for a very affordable $25) includes appetizer choices like Sweet Corn Soup, and entrée options such as a Duck Confit or Rabbit Sausage Cavatelli. Finish off the meal with an Arroz Con Leche.
3. Demitasse Kitchen & Roastery: $20 for 3-course meal
Eschewing the typical coffee shop model, Demitasse is participating in DineLA with a menu that reflects their creative and unusual offerings. For $20, you can order an appetizer like their Steamed Mussels in a Curry Broth, entrées such as a Hanger Steak, and pudding for dessert.
4. Border Grill: $20 for 3 courses
Seriously, these $20, 3-course deals are amazing! Modern Mexican stalwart Border Grill is offering up a lunch menu full of their favorites. The appetizers include a combo Green Corn Tamale and Plantain Empanada (both of which are really tasty), while standout entree options include the Pork Cheek or Shrimp Risotto. Finish off the meal with a Tres Leches Cake or Mexican Chocolate Panna Cotta.
5. Fritzi: $15 for 3 courses and side dish
Definitely one of the best deals of DineLA, newcomer Fritzi (also by Chef Neal Fraser) is letting us choose from appetizers like Kale Salad or a Spring Vegetable Salad, while entrees include their Burger, well-known hotdogs, or even a wood-fired rotisserie chicken. Choose from sides like fries or tater tots, and even enjoy a cookie!
1. Maré: $29 for 3-course meal
A favorite of Queen Bey herself, Maré is offering a 3-course dinner menu for an incredibly affordable $29! Appetizer choices include their addicting Fried Smelt or an Arugula Salad, while main course options are Skirt Steak, Whole Branzino, or one of their Shellfish bowls. And don't forget dessert! We're eyeing that Chocolate Chili Crepe.
2. Inotheke: $29 for 3-course meal
Another one of our perpetual favorites, Inotheke is providing a sampler of their modern Greek cuisine for only $29. Enjoy bites of the Grilled Octopus Salad, Lamb & Orzo, and their really wonderful Baklava.
3. Hanjip: $29 for All You Can Eat K-BBQ
Every DineLA, we keep coming back to Hanjip, and it may be because their deals are some of the best. For $29, you can enjoy AYCE Korean BBQ, tasting meats like Brisket, Bulgogi, Marinated Short Rib, Pork Belly, and more. Plus, they're even throwing in a Kimchi Fried Rice! Sounds like the perfect evening to me.
4. Nick & Stef's: $49 for 3 courses
Though certainly on the pricier end of the DineLA deals, $49 for 3-courses at a highly rated steakhouse is nothing to sneeze at. With choices like the Grilled Tri-Tip and Branzino, you're definitely getting a lot of bang for your buck. And don't forget about treats like the Valrohna Chocolate Cake for dessert.
Of course, we had to give a bit of a shoutout to some of our other favorites, who are all offering excellent 3-course menus for $39.
Make your reservations soon, and enjoy the deals while they last!
