Despite changing trends and my ever-evolving style, there's one solid truth that remains every season: I always go back to black and white. Maybe it's mere simplicity and ease, maybe I'm just boring. Or maybe I put on colorful pieces and have no idea what to do with them, but I always seem to come back to this most basic color combination. Things start to get a bit trickier in the Spring though, when I become Morticia Adams clad in all-black surrounded by Kimmy Schmidts in brightly hued primaries or feminine pastels. I start to feel a bit left out, but mostly I just get really warm, so finding balance is key. That's why this off-the-shoulder black and white striped top is a perfect compromise-- light and breezy with a seasonally on-trend silhouette in my favorite colors. The black jeans are cropped, high-waisted, and flare, keeping them light and also seasonally appropriate. And then I finish it all off with some tan mule sandals and a white bucket bag, the perfect accessories for this season.
