You've probably noticed by now that, though I'm a born-and-bred LA girl, when it comes to my personal style, I'm oftentimes a bit more Manhattan than Manhattan Beach. Neutral tones, sleek lines, leather, Fall, blazers, booties...these are a few of my favorite things. But when in Rome, you know? Or in this case, when in certain neighborhoods in LA, wear silky floral robey-things and pretend like you're a little bit boho-chic. Usually around this time of year, I stick closely to casual denim dresses and trusty lightweight denim with a white silk cami and a straw hat. But I was amazed that when I simply added on said silky floral robey thing, my boring summer uniform was transformed into this ethereal, usually-unattainable, "I Live in Free People" look that I've just never really been able to pull off. Some ultra-cool gold flats from Lou.Earl (my favorite new comfy summer sandal) and some mirrored sunnies added back in a bit of polish, so I didn't feel totally out of place. Amazing how sometimes, the smallest adjustment can make you actually feel like you've lived in LA your whole life.
