Beverly Hills may not be LA's...youngest...neighborhood, but sometimes it's still fun to get dressed up and have a swanky night out in The 90210. There's always the iconic Spago's if you want to spend a pretty penny, or one of the neighborhood's many staple Italian restaurants. But if you want something a bit newer and fresher, you should look no further than Georgie, Chef Geoffrey Zakarian's almost 2-year-old spot at the Montage Beverly Hills. Taking over the former Scarpetta space, Georgie has been quietly serving approachable modern American cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It's one of those restaurants that's been on my "list" for some time now, but only recently did I have the chance to finally check it out.Read More
We all know how hard it is to keep New Year's Resolutions. But ever since joining Classpass around two years ago (how time flies!), I've found that getting myself to fitness classes is easier than ever. In fact, I've found so many classes I actually like, and even *gasp* look forward to going to! The classes below are undoubtedly the ones I take most frequently.Read More
Though I'm still processing last night's devastating Dodger loss, the end of Halloween, and the sudden shift to cool, rainy weather (seriously, how is it November already?), I'm trying to look ahead at all the good things to come. Namely, the infinite events that seem to take over LA during the Fall season. Apple picking, pumpkin patches, hay rides...are all things I didn't include on this list. No, unsurprisingly, my favorite fall events usually revolve around hot food. So below are the 5 events I'm most looking forward to this month, and there are even a few here that aren't solely about eating!Read More
Finding time to workout is honestly one of the biggest hurdles to getting healthy. Setting aside the time to go to the gym or a fitness class can be a challenge, especially for those of us with busy, on-the-go lifestyles. So I partnered with Lisa Natale, one of my favorite spin instructors and certified personal trainer from BeatBike, to show you how to do a full-body workout that you can do everyday at home, even if all you have is 15 minutes. The workout is easy, quick (but still challenging!), and perfect for all levels. All you need is a band, and you're ready to go! With each new season comes new openings and new hotspots to see, be seen, or you know, enjoy food, drinks, and the company of your friends in a lovely space. This year, it seems that rooftop bars are all the rage; starting with E.P. + L.P.'s splashy appearance in West Hollywood a few short years ago, to the constantly bustling scene that is Catch, local restaurateurs are finally capitalizing on LA's yearlong sunshine and warm weather to open beautiful drinking dens for watching the sunset over Sunset. Though, of course, not every bar opening this summer is of the rooftop variety-- in fact, we've found a few that we're loving providing moodier scenes in glitzy spaces. Either way, LA's 3 best new bar openings for summer 2017 are all excellent spots for grabbing a nice cocktail and some bites, enjoying the #vibes, and celebrating the summer.Read More
