Don’t be fooled by my Resting Bitch Face…leopard is trendy again, and I couldn’t be happier! Despite my minimalistic tendencies, one print that I have weirdly loved for years is leopard. I’m not sure why; I wasn’t on the Jersey shore, and I have no desire to dress up like an animal on a daily basis, yet here we are. I’ve been a leopard lover since college, and the summer before my junior year, I spent the summer living in New York and interning at Marie Claire magazine (true story!). While I was there, I stumbled into THE MOST AMAZING SALE at the Tibi boutique in Soho, where I came across this gorgeous leopard blazer for a mere fraction of its original price— I can’t say I remember how much it cost, but suffice it to say it was marked down enough for a broke intern to buy. It’s been one of the longest lasting pieces in my closet, lying in wait for a time when leopard print triumphantly returned, and THAT. TIME. IS. NOW. Get ready to see this blazer all over my IG feed, because it’s not going anywhere. Praise to the fashion gods!Read More
Going out during the winter is hard work. And let's be real; all we really want to do is stay at home, hibernate, watch Netflix, and order take-out. But on those occasions when our friends convince us to go out to that hottest new dinner spot or grab drinks at a cool new bar, picking the right look is just another barrier to our desire for socialization. Abandoning the sweatpants and slippers in favor of mini dresses and heels is never easy, so finding that semi-comfortable transitional look is key. Swap out your mini dress in favor of a cool leather skirt, which still looks nice and occasional-appropriate when layered with an oversized sweater (for comfort and warmth) on top. Instead of your usual killer stilettos, opting for heeled over the knee boots makes a serious statement, but actually keeps you covered up and gives your tired feet a bit more support. Throw on a denim jacket to add another casual element, but dress up the look for a nicer occasion with some statement jewels, like this crystal choker.

Well, some of them are new at least. I'm sure you recognize my favorite (aka: only) burgundy hat, which I will be putting to good use to shade my face for the rest of the sunny season. Recently, I acquired these new Amo Babe jeans to add to my collection of Amo denim favorites; the high-waisted cut is definitely on-trend, and while they're supposed to fit a bit more like a straight leg, they're snug like a skinny jean on me (which I think I prefer-- the straight leg trend doesn't work as well on my 5'2" frame). And since I can't get enough knit turtlenecks, this sleeveless, white style from Vince will definitely be an everyday essential this season.Read More
Like the off-the-shoulder and choker trends, the culotte is still going strong as we move into Summer. And as much as I love the black pair that got me through Fall and Winter, it's time to move onto something a bit lighter for the new season. With a paper bag waist and black and white stripes, this offering from Banana Republic is considerably lighter and feels fresh and fun. Since the culottes carry the look, I kept the rest simple, with a classic white tee, summer appropriate denim jacket, and some lace-up sandals.Read More
Since fashion insiders keep claiming Time of Death on the skinny jean, I'm starting off 2016 with a new outlook on pant silhouettes. I've been a fan of the boyfriend jean for some time, and while I have a hard time with more straight-leg styles, I've started hopping on the flare bandwagon.Read More
