Though I’ve known for awhile that Instagram is a powerful marketing tool (hell, I built a career out of it), I occasionally fool myself into thinking I’m not as susceptible to the platform’s branding as others. But alas, here I am, wearing that silk leopard skirt that everyone else is wearing too. What can I say? You already know that I’m a leopard print lover, so when I saw everyone and their mother wearing my favorite print in silk, midi skirt form, I couldn’t help but feel some serious fomo. And though I might match every other fashion blogger on the planet…I have no regrets.Read More
By now, you probably all know that when it comes to Fall/Winter uniforms, I’m all about the neutrals. I’ve never been one to rock neons or pastels (even during the Spring/Summer months), so as soon as I can get away with wearing all black, camel, and burgundy on a daily basis, I do just that. My aversion to bright colors can occasionally get me into a style rut, but finding black-pant alternatives to my go-to black jeans (like these silky black culottes from AYR) or a statement camel coat help re-spark my creativity.

My relationship to the ocean is basically the same as any relationship between two LA neighbors; I know it's there, but I basically ignore its entire existence. What can I say? I'm totally spoiled by growing up so close to the ocean. Ironically though, I love traveling to seaside destinations, giving me a chance to whip out all my summer hats, straw bags, espadrilles, and sundresses. This dress is one of those perfect summer frocks-- lightweight without being skimpy, patterned without being too loud, and it can easily transition from daytime beachside strolling to dinner on the town. It makes me want to spend more time closer to the water...so we both know what this means, right? I guess I need to take a Malibu staycation!Read More
Whenever I'm feeling a bit sartorially uninspired, I tend to fall back on the things I know: jeans, blazers, scarves, sunnies. It's not just that I can't go wrong with these go-to essentials, but I know they fit with my relaxed-sophisticated-trendy style. I try to change it up a bit though, experimenting with some new, looser boyfriend jeans from Everlane and these insanely comfortable mules from Marc Fisher. Of course, the burgundy blazer and matching silk neck scarf never let me down.Read More
Closet full of clothes, nothing to wear; is this not the plight of women everywhere? For some reason, I usually feel like I need a huge closet full of every piece imaginable to tick all of my "perfect outfit" boxes. But every once in awhile, I stumble on a singular piece that ticks all of those boxes for me: enter this dark red knit dress from Grana. Not only is it currently marked down to $50 as part of their no mark-up sale, it delivers on all my favorite fronts-- the burgundy color, the comfortable knit fabric, the flattering midi length. It's another one of my go-to comfy winter dresses, and easy for dressing up or down.Read More
