5 Places To Eat With The Girls // Spring 2019

Who said going out in LA is just for date nights? As much as you might love your bae, let’s be real; having time with your friends to catch up on each others’ lives is super important. And of course, you want to find a place that’s cute, fun, serves good food, and has plenty of booze. Here are some of our recent faves for a meal with the girls:

Atrium : The Los Feliz Stunner That Will Banish Your Winter Blues

By now, chances are you’ve probably heard of Atrium. The stunning Los Feliz restaurant opened in the Fall of last year and has quickly become one of the hottest tickets in town. From the restaurateurs of Silverlake’s Sawyer and Kettle Black, Atrium boasts food from chef Hunter Pritchett, who focuses on SoCal flavors for unique takes on local favorites; a Grilled Cauliflower Shawarma evokes LA’s love of Israeli and Middle Eastern flavors, but with a veggie-friendly preparation, while a classic Beef Carpaccio is transformed into a carne asada with avocado crema, crispy potatoes, and salsa macha. Diners enter through a subtle-yet-sexy alleyway into a space with exposed brick, plush booths, and some lovely greenery. With its grand, warehouse-meets-mid-century-modern design and namesake atrium, it’s a bright, fun spot to ride out those winter blues.

Why The Bloc LA is Downtown's Best New Fashion Destination

More and more, I find myself spending time in Downtown. We’ve all seen how much Downtown has changed over the last few years; the infusion of cool restaurants, bars, venues, and stores has truly made it one of the city’s most culturally-dense destinations. But let’s be real—there are still few things that can convince me to make that often traffic-heavy trek. Currently, though, The Bloc is killing it when it comes to their fashion offerings, making it one of my favorite style destinations in the city.  Here are 3 reasons why The Bloc is Downtown’s best new fashion destination…

24 Hours in Catalina with Osea

My previous trips to Catalina were usually school related-- softball tournaments, outdoor education trips-- so I never really thought of Catalina as a getaway destination until I was recently invited to go by Osea Malibu. Since I'm already a huge fan of Osea's non-toxic, locally based products, having the chance to enjoy one of their facials at the Catalina Island Spa was absolutely a no-brainer for me. I packed up, drove to Long Beach, hopped on the Catalina Express (dramamine on hand, of course), and arrived in no time. I was immediately taken aback by how beautiful the island is; Avalon is a relatively small town, but it's incredibly charming, and you just can't beat their beachside views. I walked (walked!) from the ferry to The Pavilion Hotel, a lovely boutique hotel overlooking the water, where I stayed for the evening. I enjoyed a really great dinner at the upscale Avalon Grille, and had a pretty low-key night.
