Eat. Here. Now : Gesso on Fairfax

L.A. has no shortage of great Italian food, and one of the newer iterations of our obsession with Cal-Ital comes in the form of Gesso, the beautiful, industrial restaurant on Fairfax. Serving small plates like arancini, pizzas, and entrees such as Preserved Lemon Strozzapreti, Gesso has been quietly open since last summer. It's undoubtedly one of my favorite spots in the neighborhood for happy hour-- meet up with some friends and sip on $7-$9 special cocktails while munching on bites like cauliflower and chicken liver toast. I visited for dinner a little while back and really enjoyed the variety of dishes along with their well-made cocktails.
