The Joanna Vargas Facial That Seriously Changed My Skin

As someone who constantly boasts a multitude of skin woes, I've learned over the years to never put too much faith into a "quick fix." Addressing my skin issues is usually a long, arduous process involving testing hundreds of products, guzzling a bunch of pills/supplements, and seeing few results. But I'm pretty much game to try anything, so when I was offered a chance to try the signature Triple Crown Facial at the LA salon of legendary celebrity facialist Joanna Vargas, I immediately jumped at the opportunity. Overall, I was so blown away by the results of the facial! 3 IG-Worthy (But Still Really Tasty!) Restaurants to Check Out NOW

But let's be real...I ain't mad about it. Amongst this sea of beautiful spots, a few fun ones have stood out to me lately, offering their own takes on grammable decor while still serving delicious food.

Modern Mexican Cuisine and a Scenic Outdoor Patio at Verlaine in West Hollywood

We all know that West Hollywood is home to many of the city's best hotspots. So when a new restaurant opens in the area with a lauded Chef, modern outdoor patio, and location next to another hotspot, we pay attention. By renowned Latin American chef Diego Hernandez, Verlaine opened in the old Dominick's space this past Spring, presenting West Hollywood with a new space to eat, drink, and be seen. But in case you think this spot is all scene and no substance, think again. The restaurant is decidedly ambitious, crafting both an impressive bar program and a menu that's undoubtedly a departure from our typical choices of tableside guacamole and crispy tacos. And after experiencing a few growing pains when they first opened (which lead to a mixed review from LA Weekly's Besha Rodell), the Chef and management team have recommitted themselves to improving all aspects of the food and service.
